Last month Fox canceled Greg Garcia’s goofy comedy, and that’s a shame. Fans will miss the slightly twisted residents of Natesville, and the wonderfully crass but loving Chance family, made up of actors who seemed up-for-anything: Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt, Lucas Neff and especially Cloris Leachman. Series finale, 9 p.m. Friday, April 4, on Fox.

Recently renewed for a third season (thank you, Fox), this hilarious comedy closed its season with a great episode that had the Chance family on trial to retain custody of that adorable baby, Hope. Virginia Chance (the Emmy-deprived Martha Plimpton) wore a “Dynasty”-style, ’80s power suit, and there were great cameos from stars of producer Greg Garcia’s previous sitcom “My Name is Earl.”
I’ll miss this show on it’s hiatus. Hurry back folks!
