Not long after discovering the original French series “Les Revenants” on Sundance, I learned that there would be an American remake. Is there any way that a new version of this eerie tale of long-dead loved ones coming back to a small mountain town could work?After seeing the premiere episode, the answer is … almost. There is plenty of creepy atmosphere, and fine acting (Jeremy Sisto, Mark Pellegrino, Kevin Alejandro), but if you’ve seen the original, don’t expect anything new. Series premiere, 10 p.m. Monday, March 9, on A&E.
